These Are 6 Of My Favorite Travel Apps

Image
Photo by David Švihovec on Unsplash If you are like me, you can't travel anywhere without having the right apps for your destination. There are so many to choose from; here is a list of the ones I use most.   Airline App - Each airline these days has an app. These apps can be an asset for your boarding pass, an airport map, flight numbers, and flight status updates. Some even allow you to take a picture of your parking spot and even track your bag, so you know that it is on the plane, just like you.  Delta ,  American ,  Southwest ,  United ,  Frontier   Pro tip - A couple of great apps to watch for airfare deals are  Hopper  and  Google Flights;  you enter your round trip destination, your dates, then it will notify you when there is a price change in your airfare. These sites/apps can be an excellent reference tool, but I would still recommend you go directly to the airlines to book.   Flight Tracker App - I use  Flight Aware , it has been great for tracking my flights a

What’s in our Disney backpack?

Image
What’s in our Disney backpack?         We have been traveling to Disney for more than 20 years and we have taken a backpack on every trip. Our backpack and the contents have changed over the years, but this is our current park packing list. Water Bottle A water bottle is great to have, it is hot in Florida, and hydration is usually the number one goal. Disney is installing more and more water bottle filling stations, and if you didn’t know you can get free ice water at most counter service locations.    Pro tip: Small water backpacks are great for kids, it is great for hydration and it helps limit the number of drinks you will buy in the parks.   Portable charger Portable chargers come in many forms these days, but they are a must-have when you are in the parks. The two major battery drains are the My Disney Experience App and the constant searching for a signal.   Hand sanitizer and extra facemask With the current climate, the world is in, it never hurts to have some hand sanitize

Let's Go There Soon

Some new research shows that even the simple act of planning a vacation can boost your happiness and even increase your energy levels.   I was reading a recent survey , from researcher Michelle Gielan, showed that 97 percent of respondents reported having a trip planned makes them happier. Seventy-one percent of respondents felt greater levels of energy when they had a trip planned in the next six months.     I feel this research could not be more true. Having a trip on the books builds up your anticipation for that trip, it can give you the opportunity to tune out daily life's stresses for a moment when you think about your upcoming trip. It just gives you something to look forward too.    We have so much to do, explore, and experience in our own backyard and this has just the inspiration to help us plan your next trip. Let’s go there, soon
