These Are 6 Of My Favorite Travel Apps

If you are like me, you can't travel anywhere without having the right apps for your destination. There are so many to choose from; here is a list of the ones I use most.

Airline App- Each airline these days has an app. These apps can be an asset for your boarding pass, an airport map, flight numbers, and flight status updates. Some even allow you to take a picture of your parking spot and even track your bag, so you know that it is on the plane, just like you. DeltaAmericanSouthwestUnitedFrontier

Pro tip- A couple of great apps to watch for airfare deals are

Hopper and Google Flights; you enter your round trip destination, your dates, then it will notify you when there is a price change in your airfare. These sites/apps can be an excellent reference tool, but I would still recommend you go directly to the airlines to book.

Flight Tracker App- I use Flight Aware, it has been great for tracking my flights and the flights of my clients. It is a useful tool for keeping track of current and inbound flights, as well as the departure gates and any gate changes that might happen.

National Parks App- On our most recent trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, we used these apps; they are a must-have. With little to know service within the parks, these apps allow you to download the maps to your phone; then be used offline. This feature will come in handy while you are in the park driving or hiking without service. The app is also great for tips and history about the park, as well as rest stops, gas stations, lodging, or eateries.

Last Minute Hotel App- There is a great app for when you're on that road trip, it starts getting late, your eyes are heavy, you are too tired to drive anymore; the Hotel Tonight app is excellent for just such an occurrence.

Ride Share AppUber and Lyft are great apps to have when you are traveling. If you are on a road trip and you valet your car at the hotel, these apps can be a great fast way to get you around. If you are flying into a city, these apps can be super helpful in getting you to the hotel; or other tourist spots in that city.

Disney App- Planning a trip to Walt Disney World, then you need the My Disney Experience App. This app is your lifeline as you navigate the parks and resorts on property. You can make dining reservations, purchase additional park days (if needed), it will even open your hotel room door. I recommend this app to all my clients.

These are just a few of the apps I use.
