 5 Tips for First-Time Cruisers

1. Bring a tumbler (large cup) with you onboard the ship. The cruise lines only provide 8 oz. cups on board. This will help save time going back and forth to the beverage stations.

2. Bring cruise/seasonal themed magnets for your cabin door, this is a great way to find your cabin door and it will add a little extra personal touch. Etsy is a great place to find these, and you will be supporting a small business.

3. Magnetic hooks are a great tip for adding more storage in your stateroom since the walls are metal.
4. Bring or purchase a USB hub before you go. With limited outlets in the stateroom, this will be a great way to keep your electronics charged while on the ship. Most cruise lines will not allow you to bring powerstrips onboard.

5. When boarding, have your kids wear their swimsuits under their clothes or have them close at hand (maybe a backpack). While other passengers worry about eating lunch or going to Guest Services or try to get into their rooms, your kiddos will be loving life with no lines! Trust me, that’s a very different story later in the cruise.

Extra pro tip. Order room service before exiting for the port, this way you can pack it in your bag, you are and then you will have something to eat while you are at port.
